Wisconsin Dells, often referred to as the "Waterpark Capital of the World," is a popular tourist destination located in south-central Wisconsin. Known for its stunning natural scenery, variety of entertainment options, endless water parks, and is a great winter and summer escape.
What is there to do?
Water Parks: Home to both indoor and outdoor water parks. My families favorites are Kalahari, The Wilderness and Great Wolf Lodge.
Outdoor Activities: Opportunities for hiking, ice fishing, and skiing.
Shopping and Dining: A variety of shops, restaurants, and local eateries cater to diverse tastes.
Holiday Events: Special celebrations during the winter season, including light displays and holiday markets.
2 night itinerary:
Day 1- Arrive, play & eat
Most Hotels have a 2pm checkin. Make sure to verify this with your hotel.
FINALLY, checkout the open waterpark
Dinner at Del Bar. Best supper club in Wisconsin Dells! Saying this, it’s best to make reservations or you will have a wait.
Day 2-All day play
Need coffee?! If so, you NEED to checkout Bella Goose Coffee for coffee and a light breakfast. I love this coffee shop and stop here every time we are in the Dells.
Hotel waterparks
Hotel Arcade
Outdoor outlet mall
Bowling at Chalet Bowling Alley. This was so much fun and great for all ages. Also, they are known for their burgers, and my husband confirms they are delicious.
Movie Theater- Kalahari has a AMC theater attached to their hotel.
Sledding/skiing- Cascade Mountain is about 30 minutes from downtown Dells and offers skiing, snow boarding, and sledding. My family had so much fun on the sledding hill.
Dinner at MooseJaw Pizza- great family orientated pizza joint.
Day 3- Morning play and departure
Checkout at 1100am. Make sure to verify this with your hotel.
Last stop to the waterpark. My family always showers at the waterpark prior to getting in the car to rinse the chlorine off.
Conclusion
Wisconsin Dells is a fantastic destination for families, couples, and outdoor enthusiasts, offering a wide range of activities and attractions that cater to all interests. Whether you're looking for adventure, relaxation, or entertainment, you'll find it in Wisconsin Dells.
However, we feel the Dells is a better summer trip than winter trip. Comment below if you have been to the Dells and what is your favorite activity to do.
